Buying Desktop PC?
Thinking about buying a new Desktop PC? It's not just choosing fastest CPU and most expensive graphics card along with biggest/fastest Hard Drives. Choosing a right Desktop PC depends on what you are going to do with it. To some users, depends on how it's going to be used, it may cost less than $300 while very few may need system that cost up to high $x,xxx or even $xx,xxx.
So...
Very first step of choosing right PC is knowing why you need it in the first place. Most people use the computer to check and send emails, browse the Internet, watch few youtube videos and occational wordprocess usage.
If you are like most people, you can get one new Desktop PC for about $300 plus $150 for decent 19" LCD Monitor.
Or you can opt for All-in-one design such as Lenovo IdeaCentre C100 for about $400. It's rather nice
looking computer with 18.5" LCD Moniter, Intel Atom 1.6 GHz CPU, 1 GB Memory, DVD±RW and 160 GB Hard Drive which comes with preinstalled Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition. It even has built in speakers, microphone and video camera (webcam) and of course, keyboard and mouse.
If you are website designer or work with graphics alot, expect to spend at least $1,000+ as you'll need lots of memory, speed, highend graphics card and tons of storage.
Hewlett Packard Pavilion Elite e9260f is nice Desktop PC for such use. It comes with C3 2.66 GHz CPU, 8 GB Memory, 1.5 GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 230 graphics card, 1 TB 7200 RPM Sata Hard Drive and Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit for about $1,200.
Another important thing you should consider, go for higher end monitor if you do lots of graphics work.
You may want to consider 21" LCD Monitor from NEC (LCD2190UXP). It cost about $800 and you may think it's too much money for the monitor, but, you will thank me later.
