Buying Desktop PC?
Thinking about buying a new Desktop PC? It's not just choosing fastest CPU and most expensive graphics card along with biggest/fastest Hard Drives. Choosing a right Desktop PC depends on what you are going to do with it. To some users, depends on how it's going to be used, it may cost less than $300 while very few may need system that cost up to high $x,xxx or even $xx,xxx.
So...
Very first step of choosing right PC is knowing why you need it in the first place. Most people use the computer to check and send emails, browse the Internet, watch few youtube videos and occational wordprocess usage.
If you are like most people, you can get one new Desktop PC for about $300 plus $150 for decent 19" LCD Monitor.
Laptop Computers
Laptop Computer, also known as Notebook Computer, is computer that you can carry with you thus Portable Computer. I bought my first laptop back in 1995 which costed about $5,000. It was so long ago that I even forgot who the manufacturer was. But, I loved it for the simple fact that I could carry with me where ever I go.
Since then, notebook capacity improved so great that there isn't many reason not to get laptop instead of desktop computer for most people.
You can get laptop for as little as under $500 which is sufficient enough for everyday use for most people. Use little more, say, about 1,000 and you can get laptop with everything you need. It can include webcam for video chat or video conference, wireless wifi, dvd player/writer, all in one card reader, big hard drives and lots of memory.
Tablet Computers
Tablet Computer, also known as Tablet PC, is a portable computer equipped with wireless capacity that you can take notes by using digital pen or tapping on the touch screen which is part of tablet pc. By now, I am sure you already heard about Tablet PC called Apple iPad. How about other Tablet PCs? Did you know Hewlett-Packard is coming up with their version of Table PC called "HP Slate"? How about Google's version or Microsoft's rumored Courier Digital Journal? As for pricing, Apple iPad start around $700 and HP Slate is rumored to be $550 - $600. iPad cost more, but, it's battery life (10 hours) is twice longer than HP Slate (5 hours) while weights are similar. Not many things are known about Tablets from Google and Microsoft at this time.
